A2 Media

For my A2 media coursework I have decided to create a music video along with a digi pack and magazine page promoting the video. I have decided to do this on my own due to the fact I am an independent person and enjoy completing tasks to my deadlines and not to others satisfaction. For the research I have decided to create a questionnaire and graphs to show my results but also a focus group to get a few more rough ideas. With the focus group I shall ask and show them a small selection of music videos and get them to analyse the good and bad points. I will also be showing them previews that I want to include in my actual video and asking them for my feedback. I feel this is a good way to get some ideas. For the secondary research I shall have a look at other music videos and read up on reviews. I have designed my own schedule of what I will stick to whilst completing this task.

Questionnaire: Completed by Tuesday 27th September

Focus group: Completed by Friday 14th October

Secondary research: Completed by Tuesday 26th  September

Graphs and annotation: Completed by Friday 30th September

The other things that I must research will be completed by the 14th October.

Another part of my coursework is production. I feel that as I go along through my research I shall outline my initial ideas therefore one stage of my production shall already be completed by the 18th October.

For my production schedule I have decided to get all the work done before the 16^th December preferably finishing it the week before.

Shot list: Completed by Wednesday 12^th October

Story boards: Completed by Friday 14^th October

Costume sketches: Completed by Friday 21^st October

Lighting tests/test shots: Completed by Monday 24^th October

Call sheets: Completed by Friday 28^th October

Shooting schedule: Completed by Monday 21^st November

Logs sheets: Completed by Wednesday 23^rd November

The ancillary tasks will be completed by around the end of December due to the fact that as I work in editing my video I shall perhaps use similar shots for the digi pack and even the magazine page.

I am hoping to get all my evaluation and feedback done by January the 15^th giving me 5 days to look over and see if I want to add bits.
