Analysis of magazine promotion page

This promotion page is firstly very bright and very colourful. The colour contrast match nicely and really attract you to the promotion page. The picture on the front highlights who the main person is. The picture takes up the whole page and the text comes across the page. The text is very attractive and makes me want to read it. Some of the front covers I have seen I am not attracted too. I believe that the writing underneath the name of the artist is very tough to read. I think the idea of the writing being in the same font as the main title is not right. I feel that it should be a different font to highlight different things. I completely understand that the font is suppose to be consistent however even maybe a different font colour would make it easier to read. I realise that when I create my music poster I should include the name of the songs on the page just to highlight what is on my cd. In the bottom left hand corner there is a cd image to show what the front cover looks like. I like the fact that it uses the same picture for the promotional page as well as the cover of the cd.

Firstly I love the colour contrasts for this poster. I feel the back ground with red and white writing goes very well to make it stand out. In comparison with the first poster I annotated this one is a lot more simple and easier yet really does stand out. I like the idea that they have mixed the name of the band with the title of the album. I believe this is a very good idea and it contrast each other nicely. I believe the picture is nice and simple yet it stands out so people will be more attracted to it. The fact that the picture is at the bottom shows that they didn't want all the focus on the image where with the other poster I think because she had the image overtaking the page. Clearly this poster shows that it is all about the writing and not the picture. I like the idea that they have included a quote on the poster which is obviously what some people think about it. I like the idea that they have centered the text and kept it tidy instead of things all over the place. In the bottom left and write hand corner they are also promoting the website as well as the album. I really like the way this poster is. Simple easy and catchy.

I love the colour contrast with this poster I believe that the colours are again simple and attractive. The idea that there is a bright yellow ball in the middle of the page really attracts people to this. In comparison with the first poster I annotated I feel that this one again is more simple. I believe that I don't need to make a complicated poster with lots of things on I feel that I could just make a simple poster like the second one I annotated and this one and still make it look good. I have realised when annotating all three posters that they are very similar with what they put on the posters. "Out now/(date)" I realise that all posters include a date when it is out therefore I know I need to do this. With this poster I like the way the colours change from light to dark and how at the lighter part at the top the title proper stands out despite the fact that the name of the artist is also in a light white colour. I really love the fonts in this poster I think again its simple and stands out. I feel when creating my poster I will do something simple instead of clogging up the page with lots of writing and exotic fonts. I also understand that its best to include a website as all three posters I have annotated include a website at the bottom of the page. They also have a logo on the posters which shows the record label the artists are with therefore I shall include that too.
