I also think they could have done so much more with this video.

It seems like this video may be expressing the feelings between a man and a women but then you see the little girl and then you may think it could be between families or maybe someone has left their family.

The costumes used in this video are mainly to distinguish men and women as this is a particular love song. I also believe that their isn't much mise en scene in the video as its set on a high building and all you mainly see is the background of buildings people and pigeons. When the band are singing and you see them singing it is diagetic, however when you see the actors in the music video it becomes non diagetic as you can't see them singing. Most music videos are like this as you get a feel for the video as well as them singing. Overall I feel there is a lot that could be changed in this video however the song is still great!

I firstly believe that this video is very random and switches between guys dressed up as girls to a random "swan lake" type routine. I think it's about very stressed women (mainly Freddie) and they want to be free from tidying up and want to be men perhaps? I know from research in the past that back in the day women did all the work. This video is very stereotypical, however Queen were an amazing band and could pull it off!

Most of the shot types in this video are long shots I think to see what they are wearing. Also there are close ups personally I think they use this to show Freddie's mustache and to highlight that they are men.
The sound in this video is all diagetic you see Freddie singing all the way through it apart from the instrumental part. This one of the only few videos in which I have seen something like this. As I said I have about the previous video most of them don't bother lip syncing to the whole song. The lighting switches through this video its high key when the men are dressed up as women but low key when it comes to certain parts I feel this is because they want to highlight key parts of the setting. But the high key its all bright and you can see pretty much anything. Overall I believe this music video is great and even though at the time it was weird to see rock artists dressed up as women the video is still brilliant.
The reason why I chose this song to analyse is because I feel the music video goes very well with the song and I do enjoy country music also.
Unfortunately the main problem I do have with this video is that the blonde girl is a bit of a "geek" and towards the end she changes herself to get what she wants really the moto shouldn't be you get what you want if you change your looks it should be promoting people for whoever they are, clever, thin, fat. People should accept you for who you are.

Also the "geeky" girl is wearing more cover up clothes where the brunette girl is wearing more skirts and low tops. Again this is to portray the difference in girls.

The lighting again switches from low key to high key again to show different times of day and maybe to highlight key parts in the scene. The sound again is like the first video I analyzed some non diagetic and some diagetic. Again to show more of a story behind the video and perhaps to advertise she is the main girl in the story. This is a typical teen love story and that is why I love it I think lots of girls have been in the position of Taylor Swift in this music video.
